"Our experience with this agency has been extremely disappointing due to a significant lack of communication and transparency regarding a required SR-22 filing. When we switched our policy to this State Farm office in September, we clearly communicated—through phone calls, emails, and text messages—that an SR-22 filing was required. Based on the responses we received from the office, we were under the impression that the request was being processed. In October and November, we received correspondence from the state indicating that the previous SR-22 had been canceled and that a new filing had not been submitted. I contacted the office again and even sent the official documentation from the state in November that the agency requested. At that time, we were again told the matter would be handled. No one from the agency communicated that there was any issue processing the request. In February, during a routine background check related to employment, we discovered that the license was still showing as suspended due to the missing SR-22 filing. I immediately contacted the agency again and was told the paperwork had been submitted. I specifically asked for confirmation and was assured that it had been sent. However, on March 5th, another background check confirmed the license was still suspended. After contacting the state directly, we were informed that no SR-22 filing had ever been received from this agency. Only after multiple calls, emails, and even visiting the office in person were we finally told that this agency does not write SR-22 filings for new policyholders and requires approximately one year of policy history before doing so. This information was never disclosed when we initially switched policies, despite the SR-22 requirement being clearly communicated from the start. The lack of transparency and follow-through resulted in months of believing the matter was being handled when it was not, leaving the license suspended and creating serious complications that affected our ability to work and maintain normal daily responsibilities. Had we been informed from the beginning that this agency could not provide SR-22 filings for new policyholders, we would have immediately obtained coverage through another company capable of handling the requirement. This situation could have been entirely avoided with clear communication and accurate information from the start. For anyone who requires an SR-22 filing, I strongly recommend confirming the agency’s policy regarding these filings before transferring coverage."
